Seven Springs Car Park
I normally park at Seven Springs car park as this means the hardest riding uphill is at the beginning. Parking is free.
If you look at the map the trail starts on the right side – following the blue trail in a clock wise direction. If done quickly (for average 40 year old) it takes 2 hours with a couple of short breaks.
There are some nice drink stops (views) along the way.
Cannock Chase Visitors Centre
Marquis’s Drive

Also riding from Seven Springs means half way stop at Cannock Chase Visitor Centre – where parking can be busy (although always space – but takes a while to find it when busy – so not recommended).
Sherbrook Valley
The route back from the vistor centre again has another uphill struggle but then once once done its pretty much downhill (Sherbrook Valley) all the way to the car park.
The downhill is long and away from the routes most visitors take.
I would suggest Saturdays are less busier than Sundays – week days it’s empty!
